Mercury Turning Direct in Pisces Conjunct the North Node — What to Watch For

Today, we are going to talk about one of the major astrological events of the week that is Mercury Turning Direct in the Sign of Pisces, but it's also conjunct the North node of the Moon in the Sign of Pisces, and a few other interesting things are happening – a new Moon in the late degrees of Pisces, and the ruler of both the new Moon and Mercury's Retrograde Turning Direct, the North node, Jupiter, Jupiter, and Cancer, has also turned direct. That's a really interesting kind of conglomeration of astrological events that are all taking place and unique connections to be made.

OK. So here you can see, as we're starting the week here on Monday, March 16th, that Mercury's coming into the conjunction with the North node. Now if we speed this up just a little bit, you'll see that by tomorrow, Tuesday, the moon is in Pisces. By Wednesday, we're getting the new moon in Pisces.

And Jupiter, the host of the new moon, the host of the North node, the host of Mercury's retrograde turning direct is Jupiter and Cancer also having just turned direct. There's a trine between all of these planets. Very supportive. That is nice. This is, I think, a pretty nice direct station. Mercury's debilitated fine. But it's a morning star with nice aspect and reception to its host and exalted Jupiter.

It's with the North node of the moon. Some nice things are being augmented or amplified right now. This is a very watery, supported, new moon cycle that begins in that whole sign house of Pisces. We're going to do some horoscopes this week for this as well. But today I want to give you a list of five things to watch for considering all of this.

So in no particular order, these are just the things that I came up with in my morning meditation on the transits. After I sat on that fine couch right there and quieted myself for 20 minutes with all of you lovely souls. So actually, I guess when you're listening to this, technically my family will be on vacation because I'm making this in advance. So technically, if you were with me this morning, I would have been in a hotel, I think. But anyway, that's the weird, like, matrix glitch of recording my stuff in advance, I guess.

The first thing on my list to watch for given all of this, remember, new moon in Pisces this week, Mercury turning direct in Pisces on the North node of the moon, all supported by a newly turned direct Jupiter and cancer in a trine. That's an exalted Jupiter. So all of that being said, number one, a Mercury retrograde suggests a period of adjustment. And the North node suggests a path forward, a path of destiny that is opening.

And so we could put that together to say that there might be some insights that you have gained or that have you essentially realized that lead to a new path forward or a sense of appropriate course adjustment, a new ambition, a new desire, a new focus, a new, a new path opening because of the retrograde, because of the new moon, supported by Jupiter, but it's come through some kind of faded realization, an insight that has come about through a sequence of events where it's like, this all feels heavily faded and it's led to some change of idea or thought or philosophy or approach or technique or strategy.

And now I'm going to implement it on a new path forward. That's to me how you put all of that together. Mercury stationing with the North node can coincide with conversations, news or insights or revelations, realizations that feel destined or very karmic, everything's karmic, but they can feel, it can feel a little extra like you're more aware of the fact that it's karmic. That's usually what we mean when we say it was really karmic. It means there's a heightened awareness of the karma, of the fadedness, something that was confusing or delayed or misunderstood during Mercury's retrogradeation period could suddenly clarify, make itself clear to us in a way that feels very meaningful rather than just like, well, now I know the information.

It's like, now I understand something, now I see something. And because this is all occurring right around a new moon this week, it seeds a whole new trajectory. The new moon in the North node suggests a new trajectory and that course correction or that sense of a new trajectory could feel subtle but very spiritually or emotionally significant. It's like a shift in emotional orientation as well as perception, something like that.

I also feel like with Jupiter turning direct in cancer, supporting all of this intuition, wisdom, emotional intelligence are leading the way forward somehow. It's like, oh, this is why all of this had to happen and maybe there's some very clear sense of emotional resonance or emotional clarity that's part of it. That would be a way of sort of putting all of it together. But if any of those things hit, then we're in the right territory. We're in the right. We've hit close to the dark board close to the bullseye.

Number two is there's an emotional truth that Mercury in Pisces may be communicating. It's a truth. It's information, but it's also emotional information. I think we all know that the sign of Pisces is very good at dissolving of boundaries of being romantic and imaginative, highly sensitive. It's possible that Mercury retrograde is now getting clear about facts, narratives, assumptions that haven't been clear.

Maybe we're able to say something or hear something that we weren't before. I think again, the new moon suggests that a new story is emerging right now. I wonder to what extent it is rooted in something like emotional intelligence, compassion, forgiveness, grace, mercy, sweetness, tenderness, all of the very water qualities of Pisces that are somehow being poured into this dawning of a new cycle, a new lunar cycle, and obviously a new Mercury cycle.

Jupiter and cancer provides a lot of support so that things can integrate and feel whole and full somehow, not dispersive, which sometimes can be the case for Mercury in Pisces. Number three would be any way in which you're at the end of something and you just have to kind of surrender, you're like, okay, well, it might look on the surface like a loss, but it might just be a moment of overwhelm that if you surrender to, can slowly turn the page and create a new story, a new chapter.

Anytime that Mercury stations direct, there's often something that goes from a process of revision or reflection or breaking something down to building something back up. So this could be a moment where if you have to accept something overwhelming or sort of surrender to something that it may actually lead to progress, the surrender here with the North node to me says, surrender here in the path opens, the direction of the soul is dependent upon this moment of surrender or acceptance or overwhelm.

But I think Jupiter exalted in cancer provides some protection, some grace, some release, some blessings, some silver linings if there are moments of overwhelm. Well number four to me would be Mercury's conversational and so could there be healing conversations that are being had right now, but whether it's meetings, messages, reconnections, negotiations, conversations that were stalled that are picking back up again, any level of communication, negotiation, organization that is benefiting from some insight, a process of reflection and maybe now some ability to work through something.

Pisces will soften hard edges always and so maybe understanding forgiveness, compassion, being more willing to move towards someone else. The new moon I think suggests that there's planting of a new relational dynamic based on emotional attunement. To me, everything about the Mercury, the Jupiter and cancer supporting it all, especially since Saturn and Neptune just left this sign, it's like we're putting a ribbon around the Pisces house in our chart in a way right now, which is why we're going to do horoscopes later this week.

But it feels to me like there's a way of going like, okay, that's done. And now we move forward in light of the fact that we finished something. I think again, there's safety and emotional support with Jupiter and cancer though. So don't worry too much about the heaviness of the emotionality. And then finally, this is a little, I don't know, just almost more like, don't be surprised if you experience like more dream activity, synchronicities, spiritual insight, moments of little like psychic hits that you have, you can tell someone's going to call you in three minutes they do.

The North node amplifies the sense that inspiration and insight into non-ordinary states is happening for a reason. There's, there's almost something like clairvoyant or prophetic about this station direct with the North node, like something that happens might clarify something that you realize is going to happen down the road, but you're not there yet. That's a possibility.

So something, if you went, if you went, worked through a process of breakdown and rebuilding something in the whole sign house of Pisces in your chart, things may now feel actionable. Like, okay, let's move forward.

So a visionary intuitive way of knowing may gain some traction in you right now, especially if you've been calling it into question. It's not like, if you had it in an air sign, mercury turning direct often, it's like a more sharp analytical or rational pivot point. This feels soft, like a softer intuitive form of shift, an emotional shift in the mood or something like that.

Mercury regains motion, moon starts the new cycle, North node is pulling us forward into a new future direction. There's blessing it all from a trying and exaltation, just regaining motion itself. Feels like the best possible scenario would be that something that's been very confusing is starting to feel clear and meaningful and a direction is appearing. If there's been delays of long process, it's giving away to a feeling of alignment and progress.
