Reshaping Reality: Saturn and Neptune in Aries

time periods of Saturn and Neptune conjunctions like we are living through right now in 2026, consistently correlate with a vast reshaping of reality. And they can be incredibly disorienting and confusing to live through, although at the same time offering incredible potential to awaken from old illusions and reshape your own life in more empowering authentic directions, as the world itself and our collective notions of reality are reshaped. I'm recording this today on March 6th. Soon after the recent exact conjunction of Saturn and Neptune on February 20th, there's already been numerous events that are radically upturning and disrupting the previous world order, most notably recently the United States and Israeli military attacks on Iran and other countries like Lebanon in the Middle East.

This increase of AI agents and other forms of AI technology, there's many many many other things that we could talk about going with the incredible changes happening all around the world. And all of these changes that are starting to take shape that we're starting to already noticed most likely due to the past track record of Saturn and Neptune conjunctions have even larger consequences and larger implications than we can even realize right now, even though we obviously know some of these events already have far reaching untold consequences. And so what I'm going to talk about today is go a little bit into the meaning of the Saturn and Neptune cycle. There is way too much information and way too much research to share about this. And I don't want to do it in an overwhelming way, but I do want to do it in a way that can hopefully give some larger perspective to the meaning of the Saturn and Neptune cycle as we are all trying to now reorient to what's exactly going on, how is our own life changing personally because it is obvious how much is changing in the world around us right now.

One of the things that's tricky about Saturn Neptune conjunction time periods is the great deception and corruption that we are exposed to and that's certainly something going on right now. A lot of times this deception gets blamed by astrologers on Neptune, which is a planet that is typically portrayed as involving deception and illusion. Yet it's important to realize in this tension and this oscillation that we can swing back and forth between with Saturn and Neptune in these time periods when they come together that Saturn traditionally in astrology is also a planet of deception and treachery. So both sides of this tension have deception as part of them. Yet both sides can also help with awakening from the illusions that we've been within. Neptune can open our perception beyond the limits we've placed on reality through Saturn.

And both Saturn and Neptune can correlate with great spiritual realizations of the sacred and eternal truth, ancient truth that endure across time can also come into our awareness during these time periods. While there are some places where Saturn and Neptune have some overlap of significations, one of the things that's so dramatic about the tension between them and how we can be swinging back and forth between either side of Saturn and Neptune playing more of a Saturn role, playing more of a Neptune role with other people within ourselves. The thing is so tricky about them is that they have such different meanings in so many ways. Fundamentally, Saturn is all about limits whereas Neptune is all about the limitless real versus the ideal, conditional constraints versus unconditional openness, form versus formlessness, being solitary and separated versus collectivity and the type of collective identities that Neptune can lead us into.

There are those some very strong themes that are pretty typical during the Saturn Neptune time periods that they sort of constulate together through their conjunctions. One of these is all about turning dreams into reality. As I've mentioned, this can be the positive way to think about this in terms of the deeper dreams and aspirations and ideals you have for your life in finding a stronger sense of how to go about shaping that. Of course, we're talking about Saturn, so it's not necessarily going to be something that happens fast. It's all about clarifying what that is for you and laying that groundwork, laying that foundation step by step.

Yet the risk is this manifest destiny that can take over. The term manifest destiny was even invented during a Saturn Neptune time period. We're certainly seeing this in the world in which global powers think they have a God-given manifest destiny right to take whatever they want to take and take power over whoever they want to take power over. The same way that these ideals can turn into inquisitions is the way that Saturn Neptune together. They can go with incredible epiphanies. The reason they reshape reality is that Saturn is the furthest out planet we can visibly see, and Neptune is a furthest out proper planet who is invisible. So much about their conjunctions are about the unseen and the seen coming together and this certainly goes with spirit and the sacred and epiphanies of the spirit becoming manifest. This can happen very consistently and has happened across time over and over again when Saturn and Neptune come together.

Yet we also consistently have witch hunts and inquisitions when they come together. This is where Saturn taking on that role of deception really comes into play being influenced by the paranoia of Neptune that can also be a great potential. Saturn obviously can also go into paranoia itself. This is how Saturn will bind and fixate upon conceptions of reality, thinking that Saturn has it all figured out and then denying whatever illusory aspects and then judging and persecuting other people that they feel are wrapped up in these illusions. Obviously, something else we see really strongly going on right now. Another thing that can come up is this sense of personal identity versus collective identity. Neptune is a planet that can lift our identity beyond the solitary and individual into these vastar holes of faster collective identities that we are part of and then Saturn can constantly a lot of fear over being consumed by that and really push back.

There's ways that we can also really even see this in terms of globalism versus nationalism in geopolitics. In other ways, one of the key tensions is the construction of utopian ideals versus trying to control through enforcing those ideals on others. This is really one that all of us have to be careful about and how it can play out with us because Saturn and Neptune can go with religion and spirituality together. Really obvious one that we can see is Saturn that Saturn influence with Neptune leading to dogmatic, idealistic, strict, intolerant interpretation of religious texts or other traditions and then demanding a rigid adherence to that system that's seen as an ideal and also then persecuting others based upon those interpretations.

Liz Green and her book on Neptune also really put together really powerful idea about their combination based upon the work of Arnold Toindy. She wrote about Neptune involving this yearning for a lost paradise or a lost golden age or some type of utopian ideal of the past that whatever type of belief system you have is your own sort of sense of whatever that golden age, that lost golden age or paradise would be for you. She was writing it very much from a Christian perspective related to paradise. But what happens in these times of spiritual uncertainty that can really come up during Saturn and Neptune and these times of moral defeat and a nation, the citizens can then pursue these utopian illusions of the past as substitutes for an intolerable present. Again, obviously another form that we're seeing really strongly happening around the world right now.

One of the most amazing aspects of Saturn Neptune conjunctions is the fact that Neptune itself was discovered during the Saturn and Neptune conjunction in 1846 which again carries this incredible symbolism of the unseen, this invisible planet, Neptune being discovered during a time of Saturn and Neptune conjunctions. And even though they were discovered in 1846, you can go back centuries and centuries and centuries really as far as I can tell, as far back as I've been able to research in history, you can see historical events showing up that really align with these themes of Saturn and Neptune. Now, I'm not going to go into all of that right now in this video. But one of the things I do want to talk about is the fact that one of the patterns that we see with Saturn and Neptune conjunctions is that they move through different quads' replicities, meaning that they will form two or three conjunctions in cardinal signs and then shift into forming a series of conjunctions in mutable signs and then fix signs and then return to forming conjunctions in cardinal signs again.

Right now, we are living through a period of cardinal sign conjunctions. We had the 1952, 1953 conjunction in Libra, the 1989 conjunction in Capricorn and now we are in the 2026 conjunction of Aries. I don't think that all of the most important events of Saturn and Neptune conjunctions happen during cardinal sign conjunctions and I think really the way all these cycles work, they are much more non-linear than linear. But since cardinal signs are the signs that initiate seasons, cardinal signs mean initiation and they mean fast moving events coming in, I do you think it's interesting to consider that there is an especially powerful initiatory shaping force with Saturn and Neptune conjunctions that happen when they are happening in the cardinal signs like they are right now. With of course, it happening at the first degree of Aries being the most powerful possible one of all.

When you look at the way this has worked across time, I'm just going back here to the 1380 to 1450 period of cardinal sign conjunctions. There was one in 1380 in Aries followed by one in 1415 in cancer. It's not exactly when the renaissance began, but the renaissance is something that took more solid form as we moved through those cardinal sign conjunctions as well as the merchant class gaining more economic power. When we then transitioned into those mutable sign conjunctions in 1450, that was the time period of the printing press coming in. That's actually the time period around that Christopher Columbus was born. We then had incredible colonial expansion.

By the time we get to the next set of cardinal sign conjunctions in 1667 to 1773, which also included in Aries 1 in 1703, the alignment was already taking shape, but that is really when the age of enlightenment really strongly took effect. And so this idea of the renaissance and this idea of the age of the enlightenment and the way these are our time periods of incredible change in human thought and perception to me. A really powerful symbols of how fast things can dramatically change over the course of these cardinal sign conjunctions. Since that cardinal set in that age of enlightenment, as we moved into the 1773 mutable sign conjunctions, that was when the Boston Tea Party happened that led into the United States revolution, the French revolution, the increasing industrial age, the Communist Manifesto came in there in this shift into the fixed signs.

We'd had industrial age continuing to rapidly accelerate corporations coming into greater and greater power. And we ultimately lived through two world wars before finally coming into the next set of cardinal sign conjunctions in 1952. This is a time period that will extend all the way to 2061 in which we're going to have a mutable sign conjunction in Gemini. And so one thing to think about what was the shift with the 1952 to 1953 conjunctions in Libra that really initiated us into this cardinal sign era of conjunctions that we are continuing to live through right now.

One of the really obvious ones with geopolitics as we are now in this multi-polar world and all these global alliances are falling apart now is that that conjunction really led us into the cold even more intensely with the death of Joseph Stalin in the United States. We had the red scare which is very much like a witch hunt. In fact, Arthur Miller wrote the crucible at this time about that witch hunt of McCarthyism. And of course, then as we then moved from this conjunction into the 1989 conjunction, we had a shift with this with the dissolution of the Soviet Union. But one thing that really carried through this 5253 one through the 89 one, although the cold war aspect started to shift was the military industrial complex and the intelligence services and the use of spies.

This has obviously become the most important thing really going on with wars and spy networks and taking people's information off phones and so forth and that being used by the military and all the technology that's advancing right now. But we really see a big acceleration of this as we come into that 1952 to 1953 conjunction. The CIA was becoming more powerful. They were part of the coup in Iran that gave power to the Shah with British intelligence services as well the M16. In fact, the character James Bond who became this romantic bi-fictional character was born at this conjunction in the novel Casino Royale, which I think is also just really fascinating as those James Bond films just continued all through this cycle.

They then continued in the 89 cycle. They just keep shifting with different people playing that character. Of course, also really famous at this time is a CIA being involved in MK Ultra and giving LSD to people as part of seeking mind control and mind manipulation techniques. In fact, Sinee, a Gultalibe who led MK Ultra was himself born with a Saturn Neptune combination. He was born in 1918. Also, really notably with all of these military industrial complex accelerations was the donning of the nuclear age that went with that Cold War because the first thermal nuclear bomb, the first hydrogen bomb was detonated by the United States in 1952 right in timing with this conjunction. And in fact, even when you look back at the atomic bomb and when Oppenheimer first tested that at the atomic bomb, just as I mentioned that Neptune in Aries now is coming up to zero declination.

The last time that Neptune was close to zero declination back on the other side at the zero liberal point was when Oppenheimer detonated that atomic bomb. And so this is also something that's really up right now. Another really big thing about this time period that feeds into all of this is the television era and the fact that we were able to all of a sudden be on screens looking at screens and experiencing everything collectively at the same time. This creates what Paul Virilio calls the global instant in which we can all be collectively experiencing something at the same time. That is such a huge major shift which only accelerated at the 1989 carnal conjunction when the worldwide web is developed and over the course of this past one right it's been all about the internet and all about us all now caring around little cell phones which are then being tracked by these intelligence military industrial spy networks.

Another huge thing about this conjunction was the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA which came in right at that conjunction. This continued in the 1989 conjunction with the human genome project. And now of course we're getting into all sorts of other areas of biotechnology coming in. So something really fascinating about first finding out, discovering more about the structure of DNA and now there's something about rewriting that as well. And of course computers became something that became much more important as it came through that 1989 conjunction with the worldwide web and the internet. But it's pretty fascinating that the first ever commercial computer Univac was put out in 1951 right at this conjunction.

Also really important is the civil rights movement in the United States that came in really strong here with a school segregation protest movement which then led into the Brown versus Board of Education decision by the Supreme Court in 1954 right after this conjunction. Also related to trans issues this is when the first widely publicized sex reassignment surgery by Christine Jorgensen happened. And so for example what's going on right now in the United States with different interpretations of the constitution between the executive branch and other branches and the people in general and just concern about civil rights in general. It's obviously that's coming up again as part of this and like we had a previous civil rights movement there's likely going to need to be another important movement in a similar way.

What's really interesting about that civil rights movement too was that it did have a very strong Neptune spiritual component. And I think to me that is one of the reasons why they satir Neptune time periods tend to be so powerful with popular uprisings and revolutions and protest movements from the people is because you really need that unifying sacred spiritual concept of Neptune to really pull people together into a much larger movement. There are many other things I could have mentioned about that 1952 to 1953 time period as well as the 1989 time period of the Capricorn conjunction. And I may end up making some more videos down the line going over different themes of Saturn Neptune related different time periods.

But one of the things that's been really sticking out to me is just our experience of time itself. This is such a Saturn Neptune thing.

I've been spending a lot of time my own personal life with my wife, Chini talking about this and she has recently gotten me into the ideas of Paul Verilio who is a philosopher who really put a great emphasis on speed and seeing speed being the dominant force of society and that whoever moves the fastest dominates and he even talked about different ages of human history being defined this way in terms of moving from an age in which it was all about human bodies and human writing horses or other animals into the industrial era in which we had these technological vehicles starting to displace human bodies for travel such as cars and trains airplanes.

Because during the recent transit of Neptune and Pisces that brought an end to the Saturn and Neptune cycle with Saturn and Neptune coming together there was a huge surge of magic and access to ancient texts and this was also at the same time correlating with an upsurge and interest in astrology that also went with an upsurge of reintegrating ancient text and this is all going to end up coming together in some pretty fascinating ways going forward.
