Listen as professor William P. Barnett and Stanford student Ingrid Ackermann host a discussion with associate professor Patricia Bromley and Director of Research and Scholar Programs at Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society, Karina Kloos, to discuss the takeaways from an academic conference held at Stanford GSB on May 25-26, 2023.
In partnership with Stanford’s Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society, this conference was designed to strengthen the community of scholars at the intersection of civil society and sustainability, and advance scholarship and insights on the roles civil society serve in sustainability efforts.
Presenters represented a broad range of fields such as sociology, political science, business, education, public policy, public administration, and social ecology.
The Stanford Initiative on Business and Environmental Sustainability Research Conference Series is hosted by Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability.
