摘要

Throughout the second half of the 1900s, Japan was one of the fastest-growing countries in the world. However, near the end of the 1900s, Japan's economy started to stall as the population started to age and their debt bubble popped. Since then, neither Japan's GDP, stock market, nor real estate market has been able to fully recover. Given the undesirable outcome, no country would want to go down a similar path; however, many economists are suggesting that the US is on the same road and that we may very well see a japanification of the US. After all, the baby boomer generation is about to retire and the US debt crisis is at an all-time high. This video explains the various similarities and differences between the US today and Japan in the 1980s and why the US may not follow the same path as Japan.
