Intel is likely the most recognizable semi conductor company in the world thanks to their dominant history within computer chips. However, Intel hasn’t been doing that great for quite some time now. In fact, AMD recently overtook Intel in terms of desktop marketshare, and Intel is yet to break their all time high from the dotcom bubble which was 22 years ago. Also, let’s not forget that this is during a global chip shortage. So, if Intel can’t get to the next level even during a chip shortage, the prospects of Intel as the chip shortage cools down aren’t so great. The fact that Intel has been stagnating for quite some time in the desktop market and the fact that they completely missed out on the smartphone market don’t make things any better. This has caused many to wonder if Intel will ever be able to break their all time high or if their just going to end up like Cisco or AT&T until they eventually bleed to death. This video explains the Intel’s biggest shortfalls and why they have been struggling to grow in a time period in which other chip makers have been going to the moon.
