摘要
About 1.5 million Russian-Germans are eligible to vote in the September Bundestag election. They're considered conservative, and all the major parties are working to win their vote.
Things are simmering in Berlin's community of Germans who immigrated from Russia. They feel marginalized and often live in isolation. Many complain about Germany's crime rate and unemployment; some miss their former home, Russia. Alexander Reiser is an immigrant who is working to integrate the ethnic Germans from Russia in society. At the same time, he tries to prevent the community from falling for racist demagoguery. Such populists are avidly seeking the community's votes. Oxana Evdokimova is accompanying Alexander during the election campaign.
