Rooftopping – climbing high in Shanghai | DW Documentary

摘要
Rooftopper Jason Huang spends his weekends scaling Shanghai’s rooftops. Getting past the guards at skyscraper entrances is no easy feat either.
On social media, they operate under names like 'brucewithbrave’. And brave is what you need to be to join Shanghai’s rooftoppers. Every weekend, they meet to scale new heights. They balance high above the streets - on roofs, scaffolding and building cranes - in pursuit not just of an adrenaline rush, but also of new pictures to post online. Most rooftoppers are aged between 18 and 28 - the so-called post-90s generation of socialist China, that’s grown up in relative prosperity. They’re more interested in fun and adventure than their parents ever were.
