摘要

Life expectancy nearly doubled in the 20th century. The mission of the Stanford Center on Longevity is to ensure that added years improve quality of life at all ages. We maintain that to the extent that the majority of people arrive at old age mentally sharp, physically fit and financially secure, aging societies will thrive. Recorded on October 23, 2014 in collaboration with the Stanford Alumni Association as part of Stanford Reunion Homecoming and the Graduate School of Business Fall Reunion/Alumni Weekend. Speakers: Laura Carstensen, Fairleigh S. Dickinson Jr. Professor in Public Policy, professor of psychology, and the founding director of the Stanford Center on Longevity Martha Deevy, senior research scholar and director, Financial Security Division at the Stanford Center on Longevity Ken Smith, senior research scholar and director, Mobility Division at the Stanford Center on Longevity
