Jack Armstrong: Apprenticeships — Changing the Way We Talk About Success

发布时间 2020-04-03 05:41:16    来源

摘要

Jack Armstrong, MBA ’20: The college-for-all narrative is having detrimental effects on young people. Pushing an academic-only approach, is disadvantaging people who learn better by doing, as well as failing those students who do not have the means or the opportunity to attend college. Apprenticeships are our best chance to create real opportunity for young people from all walks of life. We have a responsibility to broaden the perspectives of young people, so that they feel empowered to take the path that is best suited to them. LOWkeynotes provides students at Stanford Graduate School of Business the opportunity to develop and showcase presentations on ideas that engage us with thoughtful conversation in order to better the world. These talks coincide with the school’s mission — to change lives, organizations, and the world.
