Is bitcoin centralized? Now seems like a perfect time to analyze this situation after the Elon drama over the weekend. We don't care about the emotional reactions here, we want to block out the noise and focus on the data and seek the truth from an unbiased, logical perspective.
If the data is accurate that ~65% of the bitcoin mining hash rate comes from China, we need to analyze what this could mean to the future of bitcoin for the world. China's political stance is not congruent with bitcoin's values, and this is (imho) bitcoin's greatest risk that we are aware of at this time.
No, China does not control bitcoin just because there is a high percentage of bitcoin mining taking place in China, and I'll explain why today.
