NEW CHANNEL FROM ANCIENT ARCHITECTS: "Space and Planet" launches February 2019. Please subscribe now: https://bit.ly/2DwW4BZ This week we have been treated to a number of new discoveries in Ancient Egypt spanning thousands of years of history. On Wednesday, January 23rd, the Supreme Council of Antiquities working at the site of Kul al-Khalajan in the northern Delta region of Egypt, located on the border between the provinces of Al-Sharqiya and Daqahliya, revealed a group of tombs dating back to the Second Transition or the Hyksos period as well as 20 burial periods dating back to the pre-dynastic Naqada III period. In other news earlier this week, Egypt’s Ministry of Antiquities announced that English archaeologists led by the University of Birmingham working on the Hawa Dome project in Aswan, have uncovered six tombs of different sizes dating back to the Old Kingdom period of Ancient Egyptian history. This discovery is on the back of that made by the Archaeological Mission of Alexandria Antiquities, which works at the site of Tuba Metwah in Al-Amriyah. Just last week, they uncovered a collection of artefacts dating back to the Greek and Roman eras.
