摘要
Pyramids in central and South America are not considered to be truly ancient structures when compared to their counterparts in Egypt, but archaeologists in Peru have re-written history on their new discovery.
They have uncovered a mysterious pyramid structure in the huge Sechin archaeological complex, located in the northern province of Casma in the Ancash region.
The site dates back to more than 5,000 years and experts believe it was once the centre of a little-known prehistoric society known as the Sechin culture. The Sechin are an enigma but it is believed they were responsible for building some of the first monumental structures in the Americas.
The pyramid-like structure was buried deep in the ground and excavators had to remove 18 feet or 5 and a half metres of earth and large stones to reach it. Watch the video now to learn more and please Like and Subscribe.
