The Harvard innovation lab invited Henry Becton, President of WGBH Educational Foundation from 1984 until October 2007, to tour 125 Western Ave in April of 2012. WGBH occupied 125 Western Avenue, now known as Batten Hall, from 1964 until 2007, when WGBH moved to new headquarters in Watertown MA.
Batten Hall is now home to the Harvard innovation lab on the first floor, and Harvard Business School's new Hives classrooms on the second and third floors.
In this video tour, Becton recounts some of the historic innovations of in public TV and public radio created and developed in Batten Hall, including Say Brother, (now known as Basic Black), PRI's The World, and Antiques Roadshow
