Technology Track: Mobile Sharing and Proximity with Brett Martin, CEO & Co-founder of Sonar.
Social sharing has exploded in recent years and is now rapidly shifting to mobile devices and, in many instances, becoming increasingly implicit. Location is tagged to much of what we share and more and more we've connected networks and set up mechanisms to make sharing frictionless and implicit. How will all of this new data that's being generated create value and personalized experiences for users, who have come to expect certain benefits from sharing. Temporal proximity networks are popping up to connect people and things as they share physical spaces, and dissipating as quickly as they appear. Brett talks about some of the interactions and opportunities presented by proximity, and the two subsets of the social graph that Sonar is focusing on enabling: the proximity graph and the reality graph.
