摘要

Come join us to kick off the fourth President’s Challenge! Dean David Ellwood of the John F. Kennedy School of Government will be explaining the promise of social entrepreneurship. Join students from across the University to share ideas and find teams. The President’s Challenge is an initiative to help Harvard students develop entrepreneurial solutions to the world’s most important social problems. Sponsored by President Drew Faust, the challenge gives students access to expertise in the form of mentors and experience in the process of bringing great ideas to action. Teams have been asked to present novel solutions to improve many of the world’s most pressing problems: • education innovation • affordable health • energy and the environment • economic development & sustainable employment • connected cities This event will be the first in a series hosted by the i-lab. At the kickoff even you will be able to ideate and meet other Harvard students interested in making impact in the world. Additional workshops will allow you to learn how to write proposals and develop your idea--more info on the programming will be shared by Gordon Jones, Managing Director of the i-lab. The i-lab will play an active role as host to the teams as they develop and refine their ideas, assisting students by hosting workshops, providing guidance, and giving them access to our resources and facility throughout the Challenge.
