How do you get to know thousands of companies worldwide? In this video, Ed Young and Pablo De Castro give an inside look at Corporate Access at Norges Bank Investment Management. Every year the fund holds more than 3,000 company meetings. Our in-house Corporate Access team connects portfolio managers and analysts directly with company management and boards, from our offices in Oslo, London, Singapore and New York. Around 40 percent of these meetings take place as part of roadshows, and most of those are held in our London office. Add field trips to headquarters, stores and factories, and you get insight that goes well beyond the numbers: how a company is run, how decisions are made, and what its culture is like. Norges Bank Investment Management manages the Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global, one of the world's largest investors, with holdings in around 9,000 companies across more than 70 countries.
