NEW | Ancient Underground Chambers and Tunnels Discovered in Britain

I’m often so busy reading about Ancient Egypt and Ancient Turkey that I miss some real gems that are right on my doorstep and this week I’ve been learning about an unusual ancient structure from Ancient Britain, and it’s called a fogous. In this video we go to Cornwall in England, to an ancient village called Carn Euny, a settlement dating back to the Iron Age with numerous phases of development. The archaeological site is a tourist attraction today. It lies in southwest Cornwall in the Penwith district, near the village of Sancreed. But besides the impressive remains of roundhouses and the unique courtyard houses that can be viewed today, there is something else that puts Carn Euny on the map, an important structure called a fogou. In this video we take a look at the mysterious subterranean fogou structure of Carn Euny as he contemplate its possible use.
