For years, no one knew what had happened to the children of these 'disappeared' women. Had they perished along with their mothers? Or had they perhaps survived? After searching for many years, investigators made a shocking discovery: many of these children had been secretly adopted by families with links to the military, and raised under new identities. In some cases, they were living with people who had been involved in the crimes committed against their parents.
